About This Workshop:
For marginalized people imposter syndrome is almost never an indication of a lack of skill. It is usually an indication of working hard in a system that is designed to extract value from people like us without credit or appropriate compensation.
In this hour and a half long training, we will have one break-out group where students get to problem solve and create personal solutions to their experiences with imposter syndrome.
Key Takeyawyas:
- Establish that imposter syndrome for marginalized people is usually based in racism
- Learn how racial capitalism creates impossible standards disguised as “professionalism”
- Reframe our concept of self worth using values and accountability
